INSURANCE EXAMINER

REMOTE-CENTERED
Eligible for telework in accordance with CDIs telework policy. Teleworking employees may be required to report to their headquarters office location on designated telework days. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.

Under the general direction of the Senior Insurance Examiner (Supervisor), the Insurance Examiner analyzes and conducts risk-focused surveillance of licensed entities to ensure their solvency. Reviews applications requiring the Commissioner's approval to ascertain their financial stability and compliance with the California Insurance Code, California Code of Regulations, the Department's rules, and the standard operating procedures of FAD, to be completed in an accurate and wellorganized manner within established guidelines.

Working Conditions

Work Environment:
• Work in a high-rise building
• Work in a cubicle setting and open space environment
• Hybrid Telework - Eligible for telework in accordance with CDIs Telework policy. Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants must reside in California. We offer a hybrid approach to Teleworking that includes employees reporting to their headquarters office location on designated telework days. Currently our staff comes in-office to our Headquarters location one (1) day per week (currently Thursday’s).
• Travel - Occasional travel may be required within and/or outside the state of California via private or public transportation (i.e., automobile, airplane, etc.). Travel may include overnight stay and overtime may be required.

Physical Abilities:
• Ability to lift/carry/move 25-35 pounds for short distances; and • Reaching, bending, stretching, and stooping will be required.
