For more than 90 years the RTX Technology Research Center (RTRC) has operated as a multidisciplinary group of experts collaborating on groundbreaking innovations. Our team includes some of the world’s leading scientists, researchers and engineers working to anticipate the discoveries destined to change everything, and they transform that research into the solutions and products that help our businesses shape the future of aerospace and defense. Our unique talent, experience and resources allow us to deliver rapid responses to critical, time-sensitive challenges and develop breakthroughs for a safer, more connected world.
The next generation of products demands that we cross traditional boundaries. If you enjoy leveraging your technical expertise in exploration of complex thermal-mechanical-electrical systems across disciplines, our Thermodynamic Systems Team needs your skills. Our Research Engineer position demands strong engineering fundamentals, expertise in analytical and numerical physics-based modeling, and the ability to select appropriate modeling fidelity for each problem.
What You Will Do
On our team, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the following areas:
3D spatial optimization of electro-mechanical-thermal systems
Topology-based design space optimization of components and interconnects
Exploration and optimization methods for large design spaces across aerospace and defense system domains
PIML surrogate models, rule-based AI-model training, and LLM-based code generation from domain-specific languages
Controls and transient co-design approaches
and much more!
RTRC was founded by some of the world’s greatest inventors. We helped build the Second Industrial Revolution and brought about a century of urbanization and globalization. Come help us build the next one.
