THE JOB:

As a Surveillance Shift Supervisor, you will oversee daily operations of the surveillance department, including supervising staff and ensuring effective monitoring of casino activities. You will be responsible for detecting suspicious behavior, managing video evidence, and coordinating with internal and external agencies to maintain security and regulatory compliance.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:
• Surveillance and Incident Reporting: Remain alert to any suspicious activity and communicate findings to direct reports or designated personnel. Detect procedural errors, potential cheating, or any suspicious behavior that may threaten the company.
• Violation Reporting: Notify the Pit Manager and/or Casino Shift Manager of all procedural violations. Communicate with appropriate departmental supervision when necessary and inform Direct Reports, the State Gaming Control Board, and relevant department managers or supervisors of any criminal activities.
• Equipment Maintenance: Report any necessary repairs for surveillance equipment to the appropriate personnel.
• Game Knowledge: Maintain an extensive understanding of all casino games, including payoffs, game odds, rules, procedures, cheating methods, and advantage play strategies.
• Shift Management: Oversee shift schedules and manage daily shift operations.
• Video Evidence Management: Maintain video file evidence by saving it to alternative media. Monitor areas such as Table Games, Casino Cage, Soft Count, Hard Count, Poker, and all employees on the casino floor. Operate CCTV and digital equipment as needed.
• Confidentiality and Communication: Maintain strict confidentiality regarding property-related issues. Answer multi-line phones, direct calls to the necessary department, prepare daily reports and logs, and testify in court, if necessary, as a company representative.
• External Collaboration and Training: Cooperate with the Gaming Control Board (GCB) and various external agencies. Attend company-sponsored training classes and assist with departmental training.
• Staff Supervision and Training: Supervise Operators to ensure thorough video documentation and accurate interpretation of infractions. Review written reports prepared by Operators, develop, and administer training methods for staff on all games and slots with the Department Head’s approval, and issue counseling notices to Operators as needed.
• Additional Responsibilities: Perform other job-related duties as assigned or requested by management to support departmental needs and ensure smooth operations.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
• Work Schedule: Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent educational experience.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in gaming surveillance or table games within a casino or hotel environment.
• Surveillance Experience: The ideal candidate has over 1 year of experience in gaming surveillance, demonstrating proficiency in monitoring activities, using CCTV systems, and identifying potential security or compliance issues.
• Resort Experience: Proven experience in a similar resort or casino setting, demonstrating familiarity with high-stakes environments and luxury service standards.
