Job Description

We are looking for a Senior iOS Engineer with a proven track record of building high-quality iOS applications. In this role, you will work closely with the product, design, and backend teams to architect, develop, and maintain our iOS app. You will take ownership of key features and contribute to strategic decisions on app architecture and design.

Responsibilities
• Architect, design, and develop new features for the LIVEr iOS app, ensuring a smooth, fast, and scalable user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, design, and backend to align on app goals and user experience.
• Integrate APIs and services for video streaming, content delivery, and payment gateways (we use Agora for video streaming).
• Optimize app performance and scalability by identifying bottlenecks and implementing solutions.
• Ensure seamless integration with backend systems and Firebase services.
• Lead the development of modular, maintainable, and scalable codebases, with a focus on iOS-specific core components and lifecycle management.
• Implement, document, and enforce coding standards, patterns, and testing practices (including unit testing, integration testing).
• Stay updated with the latest iOS trends and technologies, and drive continuous improvements in the app's design and architecture.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives, and ensure on-time delivery of features.

Requirements
• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience using Swift and Objective-C.
• Strong experience with iOS SDK, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
• Proven experience in architecting and developing complex iOS applications, with a deep understanding of core components (ViewControllers, Navigation, Delegation) and lifecycle management.
• Extensive experience with video streaming technologies and handling large media files (familiarity with Agora or similar libraries is required).
• Expertise in integrating Firebase (Authentication, Realtime Database, Storage, Cloud Functions) and other third-party services.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, networking, and payment gateway integrations (e.g., Stripe or other payment services).
• Hands-on experience with modular architectures and scaling apps to support large user bases.
• Proficiency in Concurrency, Grand Central Dispatch (GCD), and managing background tasks.
• Experience with memory management, app performance optimization, and using caching techniques for better app responsiveness.
• Solid experience with version control systems (Git) and setting up CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Strong communication skills and a proven ability to work independently.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and effectively prioritize work.

Preferred Skills
• Experience working in fast-paced startups or product-focused environments.
• Prior experience scaling applications to serve thousands or millions of users.
• Familiarity with integrating AI-based content recommendation systems.
• Experience with Test-Driven Development (TDD), including unit testing, UI testing, and integration testing.
