Essential Duties:
- Safety first and foremost – ensure all personnel are following all safety requirements at all times
- Work closely with Plant Management to assure adherence to schedules
- Work closely with Fabrication Foremen to ensure the Detail Department is supporting their material needs
- Work closely with QA/QC to ensure the Detail Department adheres to company quality standards
- Spot check behind operators to ensure company quality standards are being met
- Efficiently use personnel and their individual skills to support production schedule
- Instruct employees in departmental safety and job specific procedures
- Implement and enforce procedures as needed to achieve Company goals
- Lead/manage a team effectively, and motivate the team to succeed in a positive manner
- Take responsibility for both the success and failure of your team
- Commitment to your team by embracing professional development, passion, perseverance, and prioritization to meet the needs of the company
- Read and understand blueprints
- Work a full, flexible schedule
- Work closely with the Maintenance Department to support PM schedule and other maintenance needed for machinery in your department
- Ability to work with and understand how Qualico’s machinery works, and always push to utilize these machines in their full capacity
- Keep up with Inventory of all Detail materials, and maximize utilization of said materials
- Coordinate with Inventory Control for materials needed
- Coordinate with Transportation when needed for shipping materials
Qualifications:
- Strong Communication skills
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree preferred but not required.
- Prior experience preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of industrial shearing, drilling, punching, and plasma/torch cutting of mild steel
- Knowledge in preventative maintenance on industrial machinery
- Experience in using overhead cranes and forklifts
