As a Bilingual Linguistic Tester, you will have the opportunity to work in a multicultural environment at our client’s office located in Cupertino, CA.
For this position, we are looking for tech-savvy candidates, with a keen eye for detail, interested in Linguistics or Translation, who can test devices and adapt content to specific cultures.
On a given day, your work might include:
· Reviewing cut-off strings, strings left in English, typos, or garbled text.
· Executing QA plans provided by the client to verify the strings in context and file error reports for corrections of linguistic, layout, or functional issues when required.
· Testing newly translated content from EN to the target language.
· Reviewing unusual inconsistencies.
Candidates must:
· Be eligible to work in the US
· Have native speaker fluency in the target language: Czech, Croatian, Danish, Dutch, Greek, Norwegian, or Slovak.
· Be culturally aware of the target language
· Be in regular contact with the target language
· Be proficient in written and spoken English
· Be able to type in the target language on US and/or target language keyboard
· Be 18 years or older
Skills and Experience:
· Familiar with iOS and macOS products, services and features preferred
· Highly organized, with attention to detail and commitment to quality
· Ability to track, analyze, and report bugs
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Flexible with tasks, easily adapt to change in project
· Quick learner
It would be great if you have:
· Prior translation, editing and proofreading experience
· QA experience
Job information:
· Hourly, non-exempt position
· W2 payroll position
· Working hours: 7 hours per day (time frame: 08:30 am to 04:30 pm, PST/PDT)
· Onsite position in Cupertino, California.
