he Project Manager, Platform NLP will partner with the Machine Learning and NLP team within Platform Engineering team to support next-generation technology development through scheduling, prioritizing, coordinating and delivering on-going and future projects.
A PM’s main responsibility is to own the project delivery, tracking, implementing/executing project milestones and coordinating with multiple departments to achieve the release purpose. You will also run daily SCRUM meetings, and work with Development Directors, other project managers/ stakeholders in all task management and scheduling challenges.

Responsibilities:
Manage R&D projects in a fast-paced work environment
Work with cross-functional teams such as Product Mgmt., Development team, Business teams as well as external partners
Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
Communicate status and big picture to the PMO team and Senior management
Provide hands-on project management during Research, Analysis, Design, Development, Testing, Deployment, and Post-deployment phases
Perform risk management and change management on projects
Provide day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for projects and tasks
Run SCRUM stand-ups, monitor sprint progress and velocity, and coordinate retrospectives.
Prepare weekly status reports; Capture meeting minutes and drive follow-up
Drive internal process improvements, remove gaps, and ensure team is working on high impact projects that align with org/company goals
Interface with Engineering and Product teams for project requirements and scope

Qualifications:
Requirements:
B.S. in a technical discipline or equivalent experience
3+ years of Program/Project management experience
Strong communication, organization and management skills
Excellent people skills
Knowledge of software development processes
Mobile or start-up environment and technical management experience a big plus
Experience working with cross-functional teams, external technology vendors and partners
Self-motivated, proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Great attitude with a focus on getting things done and ‘creating the things you wish existed’
Foster a culture around sharing and best practices that will result in knowledge sharing across organizations
Preferred:
Experience working with Applied Machine Learning teams
Prior exposure to Natural Language Processing (NLP), especially in Text mining, Machine Translation or Speech Recognition
Experience with applying Agile methodologies in projects with a Research focus
5+ years of Program/Project management experience
