Special Education Coordinator - 2024-2025 School Year

Minimum Qualifications:
• Must hold State of Delaware Certification in Special Education
• Must have at least 5 years experience as a Special Education Teacher
• Clean Criminal Background Check, TB Test, and Child Protection Registry Clearance must be completed prior to start of employment.

Job Responsibilities:
• Ensure that all case managers have what they need to do their job and support them when needed.
• Ensure coordination of ALL services outlines in the IEPs for all students.
• Create a yearlong master schedule for all annual review and triennial evaluation meetings and share with case managers, related service specialists and school psychologists.
• Schedule other meetings as they arise including, but not limited to: progress meetings, FBA/BIP meetings, concern meetings, parent/family requested meetings, revision meetings, manifestation meetings, intake meetings, senior exit meetings, transition meetings and any other IEP related meetings that arise during the school year.
• Ensure all accommodations are verified and enter in accordance with district/state deadlines.
• Coordinate schedules to ensure that all needed stakeholders are at the table (specialist, translators, etc.)
• Plan appropriate professional development for your special education department.
• Conduct small group testing and intervention
• Serve as a special education teacher as needed/when requested by administration
• Other duties as requested by the Special Education administration
