What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)
• Plan, develop, integrate, and implement projects related to Artificial Intelligence and Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Provide technical expertise for new system development, modifications, and updates
• Make technical recommendations to assist management decisions regarding system development lifecycle
• Consult with supervisors and team leads to resolve policy questions and coordinate activities with other programs
• Manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines efficiently
What Is Required (Qualifications)
• Five years of information systems experience in Information Technology with a focus on Software Engineering, Data Management, or Artificial Intelligence
• Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or completion of a two-year accredited vocational training program in a related field, plus three years of relevant experience
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, plus one year of relevant experience
• Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field may substitute for all of the above
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex concepts to non-technical partners
How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
• Understanding of Machine Learning and AI
• Expertise in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#
• Experience with deploying AI models in production environments
• Familiarity with state purchasing procedures and vendor management skills
• Ability to promote a culturally competent and diverse work environment
