ETL Developer – FSA (100% Remote)
Minimum Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in IT or Substitute with 10 year's relevant work experience.
Minimum Experience Requirements:
a. ETL Tool - Minimum 5 years’ experience required (Actian Data Connect ETL preferred).
b. SQL Server (T-SQL) experience – Minimum 6 years of experience writing very complex T-SQL procedures and queries.

1. Develop end-to-end Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) solution using Actian DataConnect.
· Participate in requirements gathering and solution design through JAD sessions to document the technical design approach for development team.
· Create software applications and programs for processing financial, new business, and other transactions using ETL, SQL, and SOAP/REST Web Services.
· Design and develop self-cleanup ETL processes, data clean up solutions, execution plans, and prevention strategies to perform automatic clean ups in case of ETL process abort/termination.
· Redesign existing ETL processes for performance improvement reducing process runtime and increasing Data Quality.
· Create complex re-usable transformations and ETL process to accomplish business requirements.
· Develop complex SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
· Conduct feasibility studies and proof of concepts to design sustainable and scalable solution.
· Create various processes for data validation, data management, data governance, and file management using ETL, T-SQL, VB, PowerShell, Java, batch scripts and Perl.
· Use best practices for data extraction and load process to maintain system health and optimal resource utilization (e.g. - bulk data load, T-SQL, Multi Operators, etc.).
· Design and develop Mappings to load data from Source systems to Flat Files and then to Database per business requirements.
· Develop rule mapplets to ensure Data Quality.
· Provide technical solutions approach to the business and system requirements.
2. Support environment and product/tool upgrades
· Perform proof of concept and beta testing for ETL product upgrade (runtime and designer).
· Re-engineer business process for Version Control and Change Management processes in IBM Rational Team Concert to maintain source code.
· Perform application unit testing for Debt Manager product version upgrades to identify impacts to existing source code and recommend practical and scalable solutions.
· Perform validation of ETLs when Microsoft SQL Server is upgraded to future versions.
· Identify product gaps and constantly engage with vendor tech architects to provide remediation and alternate solutions strategies to maintain and enhance existing source code executions.
3. Support Production and Software Quality Assurance
· Monitor daily data transmission status from various sources and ETL loading activity into both ODS and Data warehouse environment and ensure Data Governance and Data Quality.
· Troubleshoot, perform root cause analysis, and provide remedies for production and business operations issues/concerns.
· Perform defect root cause analysis.
· Participate in test case review.

Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
