POSITION SUMMARY:

Rogers State University in Claremore, Oklahoma, is currently seeking to fill a vacant, full-time, tenure-track assistant professor position in Biology.

The Bachelor of Biology program includes three options, Medical Molecular Biology, Environmental Conservation, and General Biology. The successful candidates will primarily teach courses in microbiology, molecular biology, genetics, human anatomy, and introductory biology. Travel to our other campuses (Bartlesville and Pryor) may be required.

In addition to teaching, these positions require involvement in mentoring undergraduate research, curriculum development, and student advising.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
• Deliver high-quality courses base on the candidate’s strengths and areas of interests;
• Conduct research in the field of molecular and cellular biology;
• Mentor and advise students in their academic and research endeavors
• Contribute to the growth and development of the biology department.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Ph.D. in Biology or a related field required;
• A strong commitment to teaching and mentoring student;
• Demonstrated research expertise in molecular and cellular biology;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
