Key Responsibilities:
• Design, implement, and optimize NLP models for tasks such as text classification, named entity recognition, sentiment analysis, machine translation, and question-answering.
• Work with large-scale datasets to train and fine-tune state-of-the-art language models (e.g., BERT, GPT, T5) for various business applications.
• Develop robust and scalable NLP pipelines, ensuring seamless integration with existing products and services.
• Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to deliver AI solutions that provide actionable insights from text data.
• Continuously monitor and improve the performance of NLP models in production environments, adapting to new data and use cases.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research and advancements in NLP, proposing innovative approaches for complex problems.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field from a top-tier institution (e.g., Ivys, Stanford, Cal, Waterloo).
• 2-4 years of experience in developing and deploying NLP models in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras, specifically for NLP tasks.
• Expertise in NLP techniques such as tokenization, stemming, lemmatization, and knowledge of key algorithms (e.g., word embeddings, transformers, attention mechanisms).
• Proficiency in Python and experience with NLP libraries such as SpaCy, Hugging Face Transformers, NLTK, or Stanford NLP.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deploying models in scalable, distributed systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex projects.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with pre-trained language models like GPT, BERT, or similar, including fine-tuning and transfer learning.
• Knowledge of low-resource languages, multi-lingual NLP, or conversational AI systems.
• Background in unsupervised learning or reinforcement learning applied to NLP tasks.
• Familiarity with backend systems and cloud infrastructure for deploying AI models at scale.
