Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the financial industry to hire an experienced full-time Lead Data Engineer. This role is a key part of the Enterprise Data Team, responsible for developing scalable and reliable Data Integration solutions that support a critical data platform. The position will involve extensive collaboration with multiple application development teams and shared services teams. The selected candidate will follow a hybrid work model, with a requirement to be in the office 30% of the time at the St. Petersburg, FL Office.

What YOU will do:
• Develop flexible, scalable, and low-latency Data Integration solutions for near real-time data provisioning.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Service Developers to build efficient ETL and database code.
• Design, build, and launch reliable data infrastructure to scale and compute to meet business objectives.
• Act as an Application Support specialist for critical production applications, optimizing batch flows to meet defined SLA’s.
• Contribute to the successful completion of projects based on predetermined criteria, including business, capital expenditure, and budget requirements.

What YOU will bring us:
• Expert-level experience with ETL Tools; Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) experience is a plus.
• Strong expertise in Database Platforms, particularly Oracle and AWS Redshift.
• Proficiency in SQL tuning and the optimization of ETL solutions and database physical structures.
• Familiarity with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) concepts, including monitoring and observability tools like Splunk, DataDog, and CloudWatch.
• Experience with AWS services and languages, including Terraform, DMS, S3, Spark, Python, Glue, and EMR is a significant advantage.
• Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build consensus across teams.
• Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to think creatively to solve complex problems.
• Self-motivation and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
• Flexibility to occasionally work non-standard shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call responsibilities.
