Position Summary

As the Executive Assistant to the Associate Vice Chancellor (AVC), UCLA Development, you will serve as a strong, resourceful partner to the AVC and primary point of contact for our office in facilitating inquiries and requests that further our fundraising programs and initiatives. Salary & Compensation
• UCLA provides a full pay range. Actual salary offers consider factors, including budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations. Salary offers at the top of the range are not common. Qualifications
• Minimum of three years of administrative/executive assistant experience in a fundraising or related fast-paced and complex constituent driven work environment such as sales, marketing or business development. (Required)
• Demonstrated experience in donor relations or similar constituent related issues; able to maintain confidentiality and use a high level of discretion when handling sensitive information and responding to inquiries. (Required)
• Demonstrated prior experience in delivering a consistently high standard of customer service and interacting with others in friendly, professional manner, maintaining composure and responding promptly and efficiently to requests. (Required)
• 1. Ability to exercise independent judgment, integrity, confidentiality, initiative, and resourcefulness in solving problems and making effectively timely decisions and to discern when action of a higher level is required. (Required)
• 2. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. (Required)
• 3. Excellent interpersonal skills to develop and maintain collaborative working relationships and convey information accurately, effectively and diplomatically with a wide variety of internal/external constituents to include those of a high-level. (Required)
• 4. Detail- oriented with strong organizational skills and follow through; able to work equally well independently and as part of a team; ability to prioritize across shifting priorities with minimal direction and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. (Required)
• 5. Strong research skills with ability to gather, analyze and synthesize information or circumstances to define problems and suggest solutions. (Required)
• 6. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Suite of applications, specifically Excel for compiling data and reporting. (Required)
• 7. Skilled in meeting and event coordination with high proficiency in Outlook calendar, Word and other business software; ability to learn new technologies promptly and efficiently. (Required)
• 8. Strong meeting and event coordination skills, including making venue/catering arrangements, preparing and disseminating materials, taking minutes or preparing summations. (Required)
• 9. Appropriate mathematical skills to perform financial/accounting transactions; calculate budgetary figures and repots, expense summaries and other standard financial/accounting documents. (Required)
• 10. Knowledge of University policy and organization is desirable as is working knowledge of university transactions and business procedures. (Preferred)
• 11. Working knowledge of Blackbaud CRM or equivalent client database and the use of databases to generate reports. (Preferred)
