Our client is a leader in the flavor and fragrance industry and provides employees with opportunities to learn and grow within the company. They’re looking for a Compounder (2nd or 3rd Shift) to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate:
$25 - $26/hr
Position Overview:
The Compounder will be responsible for the precise mixing and compounding of flavor ingredients according to specified formulas. The Compounder will accurately follow formulas and process instructions to compound and blend flavor ingredients.
Responsibilities of the Compounder:
• Operate heating and cooling systems to achieve the desired consistency and quality of batches
• Inspect raw materials for correct color, odor, and quality, and report any discrepancies to the supervisor and Quality Control (QC)
• Process samples and maintain proper documentation for quality checks
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace
• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations at all times
• Demonstrate expertise in compounding formulas, making precise adjustments, and handling both liquid and solid materials
• Utilize automated systems for batching and barcoding
Qualifications for the Compounder:
• 2+ years of experience in compounding
• Proficient in basic math skills
• Familiarity with computer systems used for batching
• Experience with dispensing, batch-processing, and operating automated dosing systems
• Ability to meet production volume standards and schedules while maintaining high-quality standards
• Capable of multitasking and following instructions with minimal supervision
Education Requirements:
• High School diploma or GED is required
