Junior Buyer

Spherion

The Junior Buyer will assist in the procurement of goods and services, ensuring timely and cost-effective purchasing while maintaining high standards of quality. This role involves working closely with suppliers, monitoring inventory levels, and supporting the Senior Buyer in daily operations.

Responsibilities:
Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials, goods, and services according to company policies and procedures.
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and trends.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment to avoid shortages or excess.
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery timelines.
Collaborate with various departments to understand their purchasing needs and requirements.
Support the Senior Buyer in developing and implementing procurement strategies.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Assist in resolving any issues related to procurement, such as delivery delays or discrepancies in orders.
Qualifications:

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
1+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related role.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education:
High School

Experience:
1-4 years

Qualifications:
High School Diploma
Knowledge of procurement best practices and supply chain management principles.
Experience in a manufacturing or retail environment is advantageous.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
