Let's give you a quick sneak peek into the life of Assistant Trade Marketing Manager
As an Assistant Trade Marketing Manager you will be responsible for implementing the discipline of marketing at point of purchase/trade level for the assigned category/categories. You will be integrating brand goals with sales goals by planning strategic activities that give input into commercial forecasts, translating into targets for sales team. Job role involves planning, reporting & activity calendarization along with cross functional communication and alignment of forecasts in accordance with commercial objectives set for the categories.
Things you will be doing as Assistant Trade Marketing Manager
• Conduct 360 degree market/industry trends analysis for respective category in both external & internal (historic data) perspective to understand the market dynamics and develop trade strategy with a focus on Crystalized Geography Strategy
• Arrive at the best possible growth target for the year keeping in view the market trends and work cross functionally with Marketing & Sales teams for category building
• Liaison with Demand Planning, Marketing & Sales to operationalize commercial goals into a dynamic forecast on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
• Design an annual activity calendar for the year in order to drive mutually agreed commercial objectives and ensure seamless execution
• Work on the costing of Activity plans & budgets
• Work on Shopper Insights & ensure integration of “Shopper thinking” into marketing plans such as Channel wise Shopper Missions for complete channel-category strategy
• Set Perfect Store objectives for OSA , MHSKUs, SOS & Picture of Success by Channel
• Plan & Conducts Immersions & researches with 3pl, conduct retail audit analysis and align and adjust commercial direction accordingly
• Consistently monitor plans & effectiveness of activities conducted, providing feedback to relevant stakeholders
• Present insightful analysis on Primary & Secondary Sales for effective decision making and demonstrate urgency where actions needed
• Monitor important KPIs such as Coverage of Numeric outlets, OSA & SOS Fundamentals and secondary sales systems activities in the assigned regions
• Implement new secondary sales application in sync with distributor system and provide support to users
• Perform sales system related regional audits frequently and coordinate with field sales to ensure system compliance and adherence to standard operating procedures
• Capture requirements from FSF for system upgrades and reports/module development.
• Articulate and document business requirements by coordinating with stakeholders and escalating them to head office for implementation and execution
What are we looking for in you?
• A minimum bachelor’s degree (4 years) from a reputable institution in business administration/economics
• 2 - 5 Years of FMCG Experience in North America
