ABS Kids has an exciting remote opportunity for an experienced Regulatory Analyst. The Regulatory Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations related to Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services. The role involves analyzing and interpreting payor manuals, payor fee schedules, and local, state and federal regulations. The analyst will provide guidance on regulatory matters, legislation, maintain documentation, and collaborate with various teams to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and optimize reimbursement strategies and network access to ABA services.

What will you do?
• Analyze and interpret both commercial and Medicaid payor manuals, payor fee schedules, and state regulations and guidelines related to ABA services
• Identify and communicate any changes in regulations and their potential impact on the organization
• Ensure that company policies and procedures comply with relevant state and federal regulations and industry guidelines
• Conduct regular reviews and oversight to ensure ongoing operational compliance
• Maintain detailed and organized records of regulatory requirements and changes
• Provide clear and concise summaries and reports to relevant stakeholders
• Work closely with clinical, billing, operational and administrative teams to ensure understanding and implementation of regulatory requirements
• Provide support and guidance to internal teams on regulatory compliance matters
• Serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory matters and industry guidelines providing guidance and recommendations to the leadership team
• Develop and deliver training programs for staff on regulatory compliance and updates
• Continuously monitor changes in regulations and payor policies and proactively address potential impacts on the organization
• Prepare and present reports on regulatory compliance status and issues to senior management

Who are we looking for?
• Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., Psychology, Applied Behavior Analysis, Healthcare Administration) preferred
• Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification preferred
• 8-10 years of experience in regulatory analysis, with a focus on ABA services
• Actively holds healthcare compliance certification (CHC, CHPC, or similar) or is willing to obtain certification within the first two years of employment
• Familiar with HIPAA, Privacy Act, FWA, Stark and Anti-kickback laws, and demonstrated proficiency in Medicaid regulations
• Able to read, analyze, and comprehend complicated contract requirements, regulations, and statutes
• Excellent knowledge of legal, ethical, and compliance procedures, regulations, and requirements
• Able to juggle competing demands and priorities while meeting strict deadlines and maintaining strong attention to detail
• Strong analytical, project management, and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable leading in an environment of constant change and ambiguity
• Demonstrated working experience and expertise in negotiating commercial and Medicaid payor contracts, legislative lobbying, and industry advocacy
