Position Summary
Performs a variety of laboratory tests on blood, tissue and body fluids using both automated analyzers and manual methods. Ensures accurate, timely reporting of patient test results in order to assist physicians in the diagnosis, confirmation, and treatment of various clinical conditions and diseases. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
EDUCATION
• Associate degree in medical technology or one of the chemical or biological sciences.
EXPERIENCE
• Specialized training of 12 months (clinical rotation) from an accredited Medical Technologist program.
LICENSE
• Must hold a current Florida Technologist’s license in the respective specialty(ies) or have an authorization letter from the State of Florida to work in the respective specialty(ies) for which licensure is sought.
