Tales of the Cocktail

Tales of the Cocktail Foundation (TOTCF) is looking for a talented, driven, and enthusiastic Social Media Community Manager to join our creative team. The Social Media Community Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing social media campaigns and the day-to-day management of (and growing our audiences on) the Foundation’s social media platforms. You must have a good eye for trends and an understanding of social media metrics, as you will be an active participant in data collection and analyses in order to consistently improve the Foundation’s social media practices over time.

This position is full-time remote but requires travel for quarterly in-person meetings and in-person participation at Tales of the Cocktail Foundation events.

SALARY: $48,000 - $56,000 / year for qualified, experienced Manager-level candidates. This position is salaried, exempt.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist in the development and implementation of the Foundation’s Social Media Strategy, by using analytical tools to successfully analyze and create recommendations as a Social Media Metrics Analyst.
• Liaise and work with our external marketing firm to create and implement social media and communication campaigns to align with marketing strategies.
• Work closely with the graphic designer(s), photographers, and videographers to create engaging text, image, and video content for social media accounts.
• Provide community feedback to the management and stakeholders.
• Stay up to date on best practices and emerging trends in social media.
• Management of Social Media platforms and communication, serving as the Foundation’s primary copywriter and content editor; create engaging and shareable content; assist in executing editorial calendar and email marketing strategy.
• Assist the Marketing team and marketing firm in the development and implementation of the TOTCF’s Content Calendar by creating consistent, meaningful content on all social media platforms; including writing and editing social media posts, improving customer engagement, and promoting social media campaigns.
• Assist the Foundation Leadership, Foundation Departments, Marketing Director, and Marketing Manager(s) with the development and implementation of the Foundation’s Brand Strategy.
• Build relationships with customers, potential partners, industry professionals, and journalists to develop and manage social influencer programs as well as manage a contact database of Foundation partners and industry personalities.
• Administrative duties may include meeting coordination, assisting with agenda planning, and note-taking; attending bi-weekly marketing meetings with each Foundation department; attend meetings with stakeholders and potential sponsors; assisting with the preparation of presentations and pitches for prospective partners; writing and distributing agendas, proposals, cost estimates, and briefing documents for internal and external meetings.

SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree
in journalism, communications, marketing, public relations, or a related field
preferred

Proven working
experience in social media marketing and the ability to develop creative,
engaging, and original content

and oral communication skills

Demonstrable social
analytics tools, search engine optimization (SEO) and web metrics knowledge
