Summary The Admissions Counseling Manager serves as main contact for student counseling and tracking, builds relationships and counsels incoming students while maintaining contact throughout the admissions cycle. Assists the Associate Dean of Communications, Enrollment Marketing and Outreach in all enrollment marketing endeavors to include content creation and marketing materials. This is an on-site position. Essential Functions Advises and counsels prospective, admitted, and deposited students by: Answering inquires regarding the admissions and application process by telephone, email, or to walk-in students. Actively maintaining contact with students throughout the recruitment process and distributing information via email, live chat, and mail. Keeping active databases of student status with detailed notes on each. Scheduling campus tours. Assists in front facing Admissions endeavors: Serving as backup for front-facing representative (typically Student Ambassadors) for Admissions, assisting with inquiries, counseling, and redirecting prospects, admits, and depositors to appropriate Admissions team member when necessary. Responsible for keeping student prospect, admits and depositor databases up to date: Daily updating of each database (Google Drive, Airtable) Keeping track of incoming applicant statuses (prospect, admit, depositor) and updating each database accordingly. Assists the Operations Manager with the organization and duties of the front office by: Accurately entering all applicant information in ACES2 and AIS/Colleague and preparing applicant files for committee review. Entering applicant seat deposits in a timely manner. Appraising returned files, determining applicant scholarships, and coordinating the scanning, generation, and mailing of applicant decision and scholarship letters. Sending emails to applicants. Ordering and maintaining office supply inventory. Monitors Law School chat application (LiveChat) and engages potential applicants, incoming depositors and answer basic questions about law school admissions process. Distributes same to an Admissions representative once appropriate. Assists in essential Enrollment Marketing endeavors: Presenting ideas and helping with content creation for Admissions recruitment marketing materials, such as podcasts, print materials, lead pages, email campaigns, etc. Assisting in developing content specifically targeting deposited students to maintain and build relationship throughout admissions cycle. Assisting with Admissions live events both in-person (on-campus) and virtually by hosting segments, event planning, suggesting guests, pitching questions, etc. Qualifications/Requirements Bachelor’s Degree is Required; Master’s Degree is Preferred. At least three years of relevant work experience, preferably in a fast-paced office environment. Ability to prioritize work assignments, especially during peak work periods. Must possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy in the performance of work. Ability to build good relationships with prospective students.
