We are seeking an individual to work as a Scientific Grants Data Analyst at the National Institutes of Health. This position is estimated to support a fully remote work arrangement.
This is a long-term contract position which offers:

TASKS/SERVICES. The contractor shall:
(1) Use NIH systems and tools and the Research, Condition, and Disease Categorization (RCDC) system to establish and implement databases and processes for ongoing, internal National Institute of Nursing Research (NINR) portfolio planning and reporting activities.
(2) Develop and curate NIH RCDC analytical categories to track research outcomes
(3) Develop and maintain standardized datasets/databases and related processes for regular reporting
(4) Develop standardized processes for ongoing, collaborative, category validation for funded research projects
(5) Collaborate with staff to plan and carry out special studies and analyses of the Institute’s research portfolios
(6) Establish and maintain data analytics tools for analysis.
(7) Track project progress and provide regular reports.
(8) Design, develop, and maintain databases, Listservs, spreadsheets, PowerPoint presentations and other computer applications.
(9) Prepare complete technical reports, formal progress reports, monthly status reports and special technical correspondence and memos.
(10) Obtain information and data; review and summarize materials and data; gather and coordinate information for review; conduct data entry and file maintenance; edit and/or prepare text, data and charts.
(11) Establish and maintain data analytics tools for analysis.
(12) Work with staff to identify key issues, track action items and tasks, make recommendations, provide deadline reminders to Program staff, and update and maintain spreadsheets of relevant information.
REQUIREMENTS. The contractor must have:
(1) Master’s degree in Public Health, Biostatistics, Statistics, Data Science, Public Policy, or closely related field
(2) Relevant experience/exposure to NIH grants and funding mechanisms including coding and classification of grants/projects
(3) Data cleaning and analysis experience using SAS, SPSS, R, and/or Python
(4) Project management experience that include tracking project timelines, reports, summaries, scientific presentations, and scheduling/facilitating meetings
