STUDENT- Intro to Music Studies Peer Tutor

Tutoring for the Introduction to Music Studies class (MUTH 11100,) an average of 1-2 hours per week in the fall semester.

Hours Per Week: 1-2

Anticipated Work Schedule:

During set hours: one to two hours chosen from MW 11 am – noon ; MW 1 – 2 pm; MW 7 – 8 pm

Qualifications:
• Outstanding academic achievement as evidenced by GPA
• Outstanding achievement in aural skills and music theory courses,
• Formal or informal experience teaching/tutoring music theory required; formal work experience tutoring fundamentals of music theory in the IC Center for Music preferred
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work during posted hours
• Required strong experience with music technology, including facility with Canvas, Microsoft 365, Audacity, Spotify, and MuseScore
• Personal qualities conducive to one-on-one conferences, such as a friendly, approachable manner; patience; good listening abilities; and a sense of maturity and responsibility

Pay Rate: $15.00
