GENERAL RESPONSIBILITY:
The Front Desk Receptionist is the first point of contact for visitors and clients. This role is responsible for greeting guests, managing phone calls, handling inquiries, and performing various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the office.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Provide clerical, secretarial and other duties pertaining to the front desk for Community Action programs (CSBG/LIHEAP, Head Start, Early Head Start, USDA, etc.)
2. Responsible for referring and directing families and individuals to appropriate programs and staff.
3. Responsible for answering the telephone and routing calls for the agency.
4. Responsible for retrieving, sorting, and distributing daily mail and deliveries.
5. Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk.
6. Performs clerical duties to include: copies, routing telephone messages, filing, special projects, routing mail, ordering supplies, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
• High School Diploma and/or GED equivalent.
• 1-2 years of experience in office/secretarial employment preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Basic telephone skills.
• Valid Driver’s license
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner that fosters good
• relations with clients, customers, co-workers and supervisors
• Ability to meet the general public and other agency visitors with confidence, respect and professionalism.
• Ability to effectively apply general office procedures and principles.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to defuse stressful situations.
• Provide for the confidentiality of all services and communications, both written and verbal
• Mental application: requires moderate to heavy mental concentration to complete above duties.
• Working conditions: requires light physical effort; surroundings are typical of the average office
• position; some lifting required.

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour
