Raise is hiring a Finance Coordinator for Our Client one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada. This position is a Five (5) month contract located in Burnaby, BC. We are actively seeking talented professionals like you to drive these crucial initiatives forward.
Description
The Finance Coordinator in this role will Process transactions on assigned accounts accurately and on time using good knowledge of accounting policies and procedures, intermediate skills in computer applications such as SAP, MS Word, and Outlook and advanced skills in MS Excel Pay cycles (Chqs, EFT, Wires etc), setting up & updating vendors, running & submitting reports, Posting invoices in SAP among other tasks.
Accountabilities
• Investigates discrepancies and journal errors and prepares corrections as required under the supervision of the Accounts Payable (AP) Manager.
• Prepares a variety of recurring and ad hoc financial and performance reports and statistics using various data extraction, computer applications and analysis
• Assists in preparing AP monthly reports including volumes and statistics.
• Performs daily pay cycles,
• Setting up vendors including updating current vendors.
• Responding to incoming mail.
• Process transactions on assigned accounts accurately and on time using good knowledge of accounting policies and procedures, intermediate skills in computer applications such as SAP, MS Word, and Outlook and advanced skills in MS Excel to support ’s finance objectives.
• Monitor, analyze, and verify accuracy of transactions on assigned accounts to ensure consistent adherence to financial policies and associated internal control frameworks at .
• Analyze assigned accounts and prepare monthly reconciliations and reports to determine the impact to budgets.
• Build meaningful relationships by responding to inquiries on assigned accounts and collaborating with other business teams using good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Required
• 1 year of financial coordinator work experience or equivalent with working experience & knowledge of SAP
• Experience in accounts payable ability to investigates discrepancies and journal errors and prepares corrections
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word and Outlook)
• Education / Skills
• Education and background in accounting (Good knowledge of Accounts Payable) - preferably bachelor's or undergrad/ diploma.
• Diploma in Business Management or related discipline, an asset
• Professional demeanor and advanced communication skills: written, verbal and presentation
• Intermediate English skills for professional environment, written and spoken
Additional Information
• The resource will be asked to come to office 5 days a week initially for training. After that, the manager will create a hybrid schedule with 2 or 3 days a week in office.
• Every contractor must supply their own Windows 10 or 11 Laptop computer for the duration of the assignment.
• Every contractor must supply their own “Smart Phone”. This is needed to gain access to the Organizations network.
