Job Summary:
DT Professional Services is seeking a Software Developer for Flight Test Analysis with an understanding of Electronic Warfare (EW) and simulations to join our team on-site in the Laboratories at Naval Air Station (NAS) Point Mugu in Southern California! The successful candidate will work in this beautiful coastal location between Malibu and Santa Barbara at the Naval Base Ventura County, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division, and on one of many projects across multiple areas: Electronic Warfare, Airborne Electronic Attack, or Multi-Spectral Defense.

Responsibilities: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs
Develop software preliminary and detailed design, and code to the approved allocated software requirements
Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis
Continuously improve upon existing product code base by actively fixing bugs, maintaining code health and enhancing product usability.
Work closely with peer Computer Scientists and Tech Leads to develop Web Applications that provide rich insights, reports and visualizations of flight data
Engage with customers & stakeholders to routinely showcase product enhancements, implement new features and iteratively improve upon the product by incorporating their feedback
Comprehensively document the implemented product features and enhancements
Review software release documentation to make recommendations and determinations on appropriate implementation
Actively seek code reviews and feedback from peer engineers and leads and deploy the necessary changes
Coordinate closely with System Engineers to ensure proper implementation of Program and SW specifications
Implement, test, and maintain software applications.
Report initial and final test results in a SW Change Request
Provide senior mentorship to team members relatively new to the workforce/ Project
Basic Qualifications: Must possess an active DoD issued Secret Clearance
BachelorsDegree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics
10 years of experience in Softwaredesign and development
Experience with cloud-based development and deployment infrastructure (Git, AWS Services), React, JavaScript, Python or an equivalent Object-Oriented Language like C++
Ability to work with multiple software operating systems and system architectures
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize, and follow through to completion on multiple tasks, often under strict deadlines
Ability to work closely with customers and software vendors to define expectations and mutual responsibilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications: MastersDegree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics
Familiarity with U.S. Military air platforms (including drones) and/or their flight test support infrastructures
Experience with SoftwareCM tools including Rational ClearCase, DOORS, Git with Visual Studio, and SharePoint
Active Top Secret clearance is preferred
The compensation range for this position: $160,000 - $180,000 annually.
