Job Summary:
As the SEO & Content Strategist Intern, you will be an integral part of our marketing team, helping to increase our organic visibility, drive traffic, and engage our audience with valuable content. This internship will provide hands-on experience in SEO strategy, content creation, and analytics. You’ll assist in researching keywords, developing content strategies, and optimizing both new and existing content for search engines. Working closely with our marketing team, you’ll play a crucial role in elevating our brand’s online presence and ensuring our content meets both user needs and SEO best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
• Keyword Research & Strategy: Assist in conducting in-depth keyword research to identify high-opportunity keywords that align with our brand goals and audience. Use tools like Google Keyword Planner, SEMrush, and Ahrefs to develop a comprehensive content strategy focused on improving search rankings and driving organic traffic.
• Content Creation & Optimization: Collaborate with our marketing team to create SEO-optimized content, including blog posts, articles, product pages, and landing pages. Ensure all content is aligned with SEO best practices, targeting the right keywords while delivering value to our audience.
• On-Page SEO Optimization: Work on optimizing on-page SEO elements, such as meta titles, meta descriptions, alt tags, headers, and URLs, to improve the ranking potential of web pages. Ensure content is structured for both readability and search engine visibility.
• Content Audit & Performance Monitoring: Conduct regular content audits to identify underperforming content and implement strategies to refresh or update these pages to improve rankings. Monitor SEO performance using tools like Google Analytics and Search Console to track keyword rankings, organic traffic, and engagement metrics.
• Competitor Analysis: Perform competitive research to identify content gaps, keyword opportunities, and backlink opportunities that can improve our domain authority. Help craft strategies to outperform competitors in search rankings.
• Link-Building & Outreach: Assist in developing a link-building strategy that includes identifying opportunities for guest posts, partnerships, and outreach efforts to increase our backlink profile and improve our site’s domain authority.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with the marketing, design, and product teams to ensure that all content supports larger brand goals, campaigns, and user experience (UX) optimization. Provide SEO recommendations that align with the overall marketing strategy.
• Trend Monitoring & Reporting: Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends, algorithm changes, and best practices in content marketing. Regularly report on SEO performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations for future content initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or a related field.
• Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to craft engaging, informative content that resonates with the audience.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles and best practices (keyword research, on-page optimization, link-building).
• Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs is a plus.
• Analytical mindset with an ability to interpret data and make data-driven recommendations.
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
