Description
As a part-time Senior Math Editor, you will need to utilize your extensive experience in digital content development. This role requires an understanding of content management systems, Excel, and digital file management (e.g., Box). You will be tasked with reviewing and editing math adaptive practice for grades 3 to 8, ensuring quality and alignment with educational standards.
Requirements
• Four-year degree in Math, Applied Math, Communications, or Education with Math credential.
• 5+ years of digital content development experience.
• Demonstrated understanding of math state and Common Core standards, content equity, diversity, and inclusion (CEID), and proofing procedures.
• Experience on a digital product team in a company setting, including Agile and Scrum project management, iterative development, and regular online meetings.
• Classroom math teaching experience in grades 3-8.
• Interest and experience with generative AI and adaptive digital practice.
• Interest and experience in data management problem identification and solutioning.
• Knowledge of math curriculum, instruction, practice, assessment, and correlations to standards for grades 3-8.

Responsibilities
• Review and edit math adaptive practice content including questions, feedback, hints, numbers and equations in LaTeX, illustration specifications, and metadata as directed by an editorial manager.
• Collaborate with vendors, freelancers, and staff to enhance our adaptive practice user experience and items while adhering to established timelines and budgets.
• Utilize an Excel tracking spreadsheet, Box folders, and Jira board tickets to track progress and perform tasks.
