We are seeking a Senior AWS /Python Data Engineer with 8 to 12 years of experience to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in Spark ML AWS Machine Learning PySpark Machine Learning PyTorch and Python. Additionally experience in the Cards and Payments domain is mandatory. This role involves leveraging advanced data science techniques to drive impactful business decisions and innovations in the financial sector.
Responsibilities
• Lead the development and implementation of machine learning models using Spark ML AWS Machine Learning PySpark and PyTorch.
• Oversee the end-to-end data science project lifecycle from data collection and preprocessing to model deployment and monitoring.
• Provide actionable insights through advanced data analysis and predictive modeling to enhance business strategies in the Cards and Payments domain.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into data science solutions.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support machine learning initiatives.
• Utilize Python for data manipulation analysis and visualization to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Implement best practices for model validation testing and performance evaluation to ensure robustness and accuracy.
• Drive innovation by exploring new machine learning techniques and technologies to solve complex business problems.
• Mentor junior data scientists and provide technical guidance to enhance team capabilities.
• Ensure data integrity and security by adhering to industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct thorough research and stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data science and machine learning.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of data science methodologies and processes within the organization.
• Foster a culture of data-driven decision-making and promote the value of data science across the company.
Qualifications
• Possess a strong background in Spark ML AWS Machine Learning PySpark Machine Learning PyTorch and Python.
• Demonstrate extensive experience in the Cards and Payments domain.
• Exhibit excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work with large complex datasets.
• Show proficiency in developing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment.
The annual salary for this position is between $[90,000 – 109,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
