Wanted: Django Full-Stack (Jedi Master of Code) in San Diego
Are you ready to join a mission that's more exciting than stealing the Death Star plans? Do you dream in Python and breathe Django? Can you wield Docker containers like Thor's hammer? If so, we need your superpowers!
The Mission (should you choose to accept it):
We're building a life-leveling application that's basically a habit tracker on super-soldier serum. Think of it as the app Tony Stark would build if he decided to optimize his life instead of his suit. We just released version 1.0 in beta….
The Tech Stack of Power:
• Backend: Django (because with great power comes great responsibility) 3+ years strongly preferred
• Frontend: Vanilla JavaScript & HTMX (we keep it pure, like Frodo's heart)
• Infrastructure: AWS
• Containerization: Docker (pack your code like Jason Bourne packs his go-bag)
• Database: PostgreSQL (as reliable as Alfred)
• Server: Gunicorn/Nginx on Linux (smooth like Lando Calrissian)
The Chosen One Will:
• Architect and develop robust, scalable features faster than the Millennium Falcon made the Kessel Run
• Optimize our app for SPA-like performance (we want it snappier than Spider-Man's reflexes)
• Collaborate on UX/UI that even Tony Stark would envy
• Write clean, maintainable code that would make Uncle Ben proud
• Level up our testing and CI/CD pipeline (because even superheroes need a safety net)
You Might Be Our Hero If:
• You can code your way out of the Shire and into Mordor
• Your problem-solving skills rival those of Will Hunting
• You're passionate about personal growth and helping others level up (like a less grumpy Dr. Strange)
• You geek out over the MCU, Star Wars, or Lord of the Rings (Bonus points if you can quote all three)
• You're not afraid to push yourself, learn new skills, and occasionally surf (the web or actual waves)
The Loot:
• 20-30 hours per week Contract to hire full-time position (if hired 40 hours)
• Contract-to-hire potential (prove yourself like Peter Parker making it into the Avengers)
• Possible profit-sharing if we move on to the hiring part (we share the treasure, unlike Smaug)
• Chance to make a positive dent in the universe (and not the kind Thanos had in mind)
• If hired into full-time position Medical/Dental/IRA/PTO
