Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Purchasing Manager to oversee our procurement process and manage vendor relationships. This role is essential for ensuring that our supply chain operates efficiently and cost-effectively, contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with the company's goals.
• Manage vendor relationships to ensure the best pricing and quality of products.
• Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.
• Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to prevent shortages.
• Analyze market trends to identify potential cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate with various departments to ensure timely delivery of materials and products.
• Prepare reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize supply chain processes.
• Lead and mentor a team of purchasing professionals to enhance their skills and performance.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Purchasing Manager or in a similar role.
• Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
• Excellent analytical and reporting abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other procurement software.
• Knowledge of supply chain management and logistics.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work.
