The Finance Systems Manager oversees the accounting and financial activities of Discipleship Ministries (DM), (both World Service & Upper Room Ministries) including monthly closings, financial reporting and statements, financial analysis, A/R and A/P, reconciliation’s, cash management, costing forecasts, budgeting, auditing functions and liaison, and other daily accounting tasks; establishes and maintains accounting policies, procedures and systems, and ensures their compliance with applicable standards and principles for all units of the agency; directs and supervises the work of accounting staff.
This position leads the development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of key financial/accounting processes and systems, working in partnership with the finance team and IT to optimize processes and systems that align with and support the work of the agency. Supports Finance and IT in planning for system upgrades and system implementations and helps to design and maintain back end systems that link to the general ledger.
Responsible, in conjunction with the Controller, for establishing, implementing, supervising, monitoring, and approving all financial and account workflow systems of DM (World Service & Upper Room Ministries) and training of system users.
Education / Experience
Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Requires mastery of all principles and facets of accounting and financial systems, CPA a plus.
Five plus years of related experience.
