Position Overview
At Design Data Corporation, long term Client relationships built on trust are our top priority. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for establishing and nurturing these relationships while delivering exceptional Customer Service to meet our Clients’ business technology needs.
Primary Responsibilities
Listen:
• Invest the time to actively listen to our Clients needs to understand their business, operations, and technology
• Engage in critical thinking to ask questions that lead to a deeper understanding in order to provide strategic solutions
Advocate:
• Act as a liaison and coordinate between Clients and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of our services and solutions
Communicate:
• Proactively communicate with clients to provide updates, demonstrate value, gather feedback, and address any concerns
• Promptly respond to Client needs and requests via phone, email, remote and onsite visits
• Clearly and thoroughly communicate technology concepts and solutions to a wide variety of audiences, both technical and non-technical
Collaborate:
• Collaborate with Engineers/Project Team Members to develop proposals that articulate our value proposition, approach and strategy to achieve successful project outcomes
Advise:
• Regularly plan, coordinate, and lead Business Review Meetings with Clients to review current IT needs, provide recommendations, and discuss long term strategic plans
Qualifications
• Minimum 2 years of experience in account management and/or relationship-oriented position, preferably in the IT industry
• Advanced understanding of the technology industry and current solutions, including computer hardware, systems, networks, cybersecurity, and software
• Strong proficiency within the Microsoft environment, including SharePoint and Teams
• Detail oriented and highly organized with the ability to multi-task and work independently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt communication and presentation styles to a variety of audiences
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with a wide variety of contacts including internal team members, end users, executives, and vendors while dealing with changing work priorities and critical deadlines
Work Environment
As an Account Manager, you will spend time both in the office as well as onsite at customer locations, with frequent local travel required. It is critical that Account Managers spend time face to face with customers to build and strengthen relationships. Occasionally, Account Managers may receive phone calls and emails from Customers outside of normal business hours that require a prompt, after-hours response in order to provide a high level of Customer Service.
