Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Federal Group Controller, undertaking a variety of essential accounting tasks, including but not limited to:
• Executing daily accounting operations such as accounts payable, invoicing, and journal entries.
• Assisting in project setup within Deltek CostPoint.
• Overseeing the accounts payable email correspondence and liaising with vendors.
• Processing weekly accounts payable reports.
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
• Conducting thorough financial analyses to inform strategic decision-making.
• Managing the collection and tracking of outstanding invoices.
• Providing support during financial audits and tax preparation processes.
• Performing additional duties as assigned by your supervisor.
Required Skills
We are seeking candidates who demonstrate the following skill set:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3-5 years of experience in government contract accounting.
• Basic understanding of FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations) in contract accounting.
• Familiarity with Deltek CostPoint, with a readiness to learn new systems.
• Experience in preparing FFP, T&M, and CPFF invoices.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
• A proactive and self-starting attitude towards managing accounting processes.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening and comprehensive background check.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
• Experience with government contracting companies, particularly in service-oriented sectors, preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Native American culture and understanding of hiring preferences encouraged.
