Manager, Commercial Data and Reporting

General Scope and Summary

SAGE Therapeutics is searching for a creative, resourceful, integrative thinker for an important role that is responsible for driving Sage’s Commercial reporting capabilities. This role will involve working closely with internal stakeholders to integrate data from various sources and create impactful dashboards and reports.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Partner with stakeholders (Insights, Analytics, Program teams) to ensure high-quality analyses and actionable business insights.
• Understand and address data and reporting needs from various internal clients.
• Develop and maintain customized dashboards using visual analytics to support strategic decision-making.
• Create ad hoc reports and regular datasets using relevant tools and queries.
• Support and guide the Reporting team to ensure efficient operations.
• Define metrics and relevant data sources, implementing effective analytics solutions.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of all reporting outputs and resolve discrepancies.
• Stay updated on industry trends to inform data interpretation and performance improvement.

Experience, Education and Specialized Knowledge and Skills

Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient. Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, ability to identify issues and raise to key stakeholders in order to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations

Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 4+ years of experience in data analysis or management within the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Spotfire, Tableau).
• Understanding of pharma data and business processes, particularly IQVIA/Symphony data.
• Proficiency in Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and analytics tools.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Experience working with all levels of management and consulting with key business stakeholders. An ability to influence for greater outcomes.
• Strong team player that has a customer service approach and is solution oriented.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendors.
• Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.

Benefits and Compensation

The base salary hiring range for this position is $126,320 - $173,690.*
• The actual salary offered within the range is dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, education, skills, and performance.
• This position is eligible to participate in the Company’s annual bonus plan; the bonus varies based on performance and is subject to the standard terms and conditions of the incentive program.
