About the Role: The Community Business Development (CBD) role is primarily an entrepreneur type role with corporate backing. They’re responsible for building key relationships with local institutions, businesses and residents with the overall goal of raising awareness about Surv, generating business and recruiting Local Workers to complete jobs. Successful Community Business Developers take ownership of their market, setting and pursuing business goals, designing efficient operational processes and cultivating an excellence-obsessed, service-minded team culture. Ideal CBDs have a passion for serving others, helping their neighbors establish meaningful relationships and growing a business they can be proud of.
Your Team: You’ll be supported by a receptionist, a scheduler, marketing, technology, recruitment, onboarding specialist, and a growth coach.
You will be responsible for:
• Generating new business through channel partnerships, print marketing distribution, and events
• Working with our recruitment team to develop a team of Local Workers who align with company values
• Demonstrating and amplifying company values at and outside of work
• Performing jobs, getting repeat business, and selling memberships
Requirements:
• Entrepreneurial mindset, driven to own and grow your market
• Organizational skills, able to track various tasks, prioritize and complete tasks efficiently
• Strong local connections and relationships within your Community
• A tenacious, can-do attitude and enjoyment of physical/outdoor labor

• Applicants must live in the community they manage, own a smartphone, and have reliable transportation
• Applicants must be available to work full-time (at least 40 hours/week)
Compensation:
• Starting salary $55,000 - $65,000 with annual cash bonuses and generous equity earning potential
Things we are looking for:
• 1-3 years experience in a sales role
• Construction, landscaping, home improvement and/or contracting experience preferred, but not required
• Thrives in a dynamic, continuously-evolving work environment, able to adapt and problem solve quickly
• Reliable, prompt, and skilled communicator

High NPS (Net Promoter Score) from customers and Local Workers. Excellent execution on all jobs.

How You Will Be Supported:
• Community Partner – support in finance, funding, coaching, weekly meetings, quarterly planning
• Neighbor Success Associate – scheduling jobs, phone calls with customers, follow up with jobs, writing postcards
• Community Sales Associate – generating business and recruiting
• CEO of Surv – help with the initial launch, quarterly visits and coaching calls as needed
• Community Manager of Surv Home Office – operations questions on estimates, dealing with angry neighbors, difficult local workers, and any technical question
• HR & Admin Manager of Surv Home Office – any HR concerns that need a second opinion
• Print & Email Marketing – designing any material you need and running bi-weekly email/text/phone campaigns
• Digital Marketing – SEO, paid ads
