CGI is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Emerging Technology Practice. In this role, you will be pivotal in translating complex data into actionable insights that drive strategic decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and implement state-of-the-art solutions. We are looking for Data Scientists who are passionate about building and deploying machine learning models and have experience with the full AI lifecycle, along with exposure to Generative AI and Large Language Models.
Candidates should be local to Austin, Dallas, or Houston, Texas, or willing to relocate. Team members should anticipate a hybrid work environment, spending 2-3 days per week in the office.

A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role is \(84,000 - \)209,200.

Responsibilities
• Engage in meetings with client stakeholders to derive requirements
• Analyze business problems and create impactful advanced analytic or machine learning solutions
• Utilize data manipulation tools to source, transform, and blend data
• Operationalize machine learning models for enterprise adoption
• Write clear and concise code and perform code reviews
• Translate business objectives into quantitative metrics
• Lead and mentor junior data scientists and analysts
• Prepare and present solutions to executive audiences
• Potential regional travel to client sites
Qualifications
• Expertise in machine learning techniques and algorithms
• Proficiency in statistical models, including regression and classification
• Experience with data visualization tools
• Strong programming skills in Python, R, and SQL
• Experience with data warehouses and file stores like Snowflake and BigQuery
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Education Requirements
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computational Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent
Education Requirements Credential Category
• Advanced degree in relevant field
Experience Requirements
• Proven experience scaling production-facing applications in large enterprise environments
• Previous consulting experience preferred
