WSE recently created a division, Wave Media Agency, which specializes in working with professional leagues & rights-holders from around the world to enable them to expand their social & digital presence.
Wave Media Agency is seeking an experienced Video Editor with motion graphics and social media experience to edit long-form and short-form videos and podcasts for our client’s Business & Leadership original programming, for distribution across various platforms, primarily YouTube. In this role you will have the opportunity to edit high priority video and audio original content for our audience and help define our creative direction. We're looking for someone who is interested in Business & Leadership, knows how to convey stories into social formats, and is innovative in their social media creation. This is a collaborative position with our WMA Content team where you will have a hand in crafting social media production. The ideal candidate will have a track record of editing video and audio content in a production team environment, creating short-form and long-form videos, optimizing content for a social community, and collaborating well with others including clients.
Responsibilities
• Edit long-form original programming for distribution across YouTube (full length podcasts)
• Edit mid-form original programming cutdowns for distribution across social media (3-5 minute cutdowns from the full episode)
• Meet tight deadlines for YouTube and social videos daily
• Manage and prioritize video/audio projects, using time and resources efficiently
• Communicate and collaborate with a team of social-savvy producers, video editors, and graphic designers
• Add creative flourishes beyond what is in the script for YouTube and social videos (on screen graphics, additional visual video / motion effects, etc.)
• Edit in a fast-paced environment that is reactive to business, lifestyle, and culture
• Leverage knowledge of Business, Leadership and the social media landscape to maximize content engagement and virality
• Help guide creative strategy on assigned social channels to continuously optimize our content
Qualifications
• Interest and understanding of Business & Leadership
• A passion for digital/social media creation
• 3+ years of professional video editing and social media experience
• Highly skilled in audio & video editing and motion graphics via Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, and After Effects
• Experience creating engaging long-form media video content
• Experience in podcast video editing
• Strong sense of how to optimize video content directed towards an audience interested in business
• Experience in fast-paced, tight deadline, production teamwork environment
• Strong sense of social media style editing and trends to be applied to any video content

Work Location
• If this contract is categorized as a Remote opportunity above, we may support remote work for contractors who reside in the following states: Alabama, Arizona, DC, Florida, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas.
