This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.

Purpose

This Social Science/Humanities Research Associate V position will lead the development of suicide prevention, intervention and post-intervention training resources; training regional staff within the K-12 education system as trainers.

Responsibilities
• Lead the development of multiple training curricula and resources to enhance the skills and competencies of school staff, including school counselors and mental health providers.
• Coordinate the provision and conduct training activities, such as workshops and webinars, to the identified audience.
• Provide subject matter expertise. Contribute to the development of resources for school-based interventions and supports to address student non-academic needs.
• Support collaboration with project partners and regional staff by establishing and maintaining strong, positive relationships.
• Participate in team meetings and support team efforts.

Required Qualifications

Master’s Degree in social work or related field with at least 6 years of related experience OR Bachelor's Degree with at least 8 years of related experience. Excellent verbal and written skills. Excellent attention to detail. Experience with the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Values the contributions of others in the work environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral Degree in social work or related field with at least 4 years of related experience. Licensure or license eligible in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or Marriage and Family Therapy. At least 4 years experience providing training and/or consultation on suicide prevention best practices. Experience with suicide prevention best practices, including but not limited to screening with evidence-based tools and safety planning. Experience working in or with K-12 school systems.

Salary Range

$80,000 - $82,500 depending on qualifications

Working Conditions
• May work around standard office conditions
• Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation

Work Shift
• M-F, Flexible between 8am-6pm
