Community Outreach Intern- Paid Internship
(October 1, 2023- April 30, 2025)
In this paid internship role, the Community Outreach Intern will help coordinate and implement the 2025 Community Needs Assessment to understand the emerging and ongoing needs of the low-income community in Orange County. This position plays a critical part in the work and dedication of Community Action Partnership of Orange County’s initiatives. This is a limited-term position.

Born out of the War on Poverty more than 50 years ago, Community Action Partnership Orange County (CAP OC) is a trusted resource for Orange County community members who face obstacles such as food insecurity, unemployment, economic turmoil and more. What You Will Accomplish In This Role
Under direct supervision of the Planning Manager, you will assist with coordinating and implementing the 2025 Community Needs Assessment (CNA). This role involves overseeing and coordinating various outreach strategies and data collection efforts. The Community Outreach Paid Intern will work closely with staff, community members, local government, and nonprofit partners to determine the needs of the low-income community in Orange County.
The internship will pay $23.00 per hour and is not eligible for CAP OC benefits. The expected number of work hours is set at 25-29 hours per week. Total hours worked per week may vary based upon program needs.
The commitment for this role will be about until April 30, 2025.
The work schedule for the Community Outreach Intern- Paid Internship will be hybrid.
Roles And Responsibilities
• Lead and coordinate various outreach strategies including community events, presentations, canvassing, appearances, and other outreach efforts.
• Coordinate and maintain a calendar of community engagement activities/ outreach efforts.
• Assist with the supervision and management of interns and volunteers (short and long-term)
• Assist in the organization of special events, including both virtual, in-person and hybrid activiti
