Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Controller on behalf of one of our clients, a Private Equity firm based in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for oversight of the Accounting Department and reports directly to the Managing Partner. This position will have significant relevant experience within all areas of financial accounting and controls, in addition to relationship management.
Qualifications and Key Responsibilities
• Oversee all special purpose entities, including CRM maintenance, general ledger entries, and tax duties
• Lead the accounting function to optimize financial results
• Direct the day-to-day financial activities, including A/P, A/R, review payroll, and general ledger functions
• Maintain all vendor relationships, including banks, escrow agents, IT systems, insurance policies, and consultants
• Work with investor relations to provide information for current and prospective investors
• Responsible for the coordination, preparation, and timely completion of audit reports and tax returns for management company and portfolios
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
• CPA certification is required
• 6+ years' experience in accounting with a focus on private equity, real estate, and/or joint partnership funds
