Matlock is looking for a high energy Desktop Support Analyst to provide on-site technical support for mission critical enterprise systems and complex operating systems hosted in Azure and AWS Gov cloud.

Our team relies on the Analyst to diagnose and resolve unique, nonrecurring problems associated with application software and operating systems and determine the source of problems and classify their level, priority and nature. This includes troubleshooting and offering viable solutions to various hardware and software problems.

Typical Responsibilities:

· Provide technical assistance to users regarding (but not limited to) printing, installation of software, word processing, email, and operating systems via an in person visit, telephone, or electronic remote assistance.
• Assist users with Tier I level IT support issues via Matlock Ticketing system and escalate Tier II issues to system administrators when required
• Configure all end user peripherals
• Build and configure computers for end users
• Ensure all end user peripherals software and operating systems are upgraded as required
• Documentation of all systems peripherals, software and operating systems
• Work with Tier II Support when required
• Maintain inventory control and responsible for audits of all end user equipment
• Support hardware (printers, copiers, Scanners, Radios, cell phones, iPads)

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Technical Degree or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience
• 1-3 years’ experience of desktop support assistance
• Experience with Microsoft Office programs and Exchange for desktop
• Professional customer service skills
• Experience supporting Windows 10 and iOS operating systems
• Use of Outlook and Sharepoint, including advanced capabilities
• Capable of communicating technical/complex information both verbally and in writing
• Able to establish and maintain cooperation, understanding, trust and credibility
• Flexible, detail-oriented, with excellent analytical, and communication skills
• Strong work ethic and ability to self-manage tasks

Preferred Certifications CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus.

Familiarity with NIST 800-171 security standards is a plus.

Special requirements:
• Active Secret Clearance preferred
• Must have worked on Federal, Government or military project

Location of position: Winchester, Virginia
