The Post

An exciting opportunity has arisen for recruitment to the post of Business Controller within NSS.

You will work closely with the Senior Management Team and Budget Holders, ensuring the Directorate is financially supported to achieve their mission and objectives.

You will provide strategic financial advice, support and challenge across NSS and to Public Health Scotland to drive financial sustainability and maximise value.

The Candidate

We are looking for candidates who have experience of delivering financial management advice and guidance to Senior Managers and Budget Holders at all levels.

Candidates must demonstrate the ability to constructively and positively challenge traditional approaches and influence management thinking and decision making to deliver effective solutions that improve service delivery.

This is a key role within the Senior Management Team and you must be able to manage conflicting priorities and demands from customers.

The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check. Any candidate who have lived/worked overseas for more than 12 months in the preceding 5 years will also be required to provide a criminal record check from the appropriate overseas agency.

Location and Working Pattern:

Location – Flexible with offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Work pattern – Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week

It is a condition of this employment that you must live and remain a resident within the UK for the post in which you will be employed with NSS.
