The Director of Business Development is responsible for increasing inpatient and outpatient census in the IRF and/or LTCH through the design and implementation of referral programs and customer service strategies. This position oversees inpatient admission process and manages, trains and develops hospital-wide Business Development Team. The Director of Business Development is also responsible for creating an environment and culture that enables the hospital to meet or exceed its goals, conveying the hospital mission to all staff, and continuously improving department performance. Key responsibilities include reviewing critical numbers, monitoring progress toward goals, managing marketing operations, understanding and managing admission processes and reimbursement, and identifying new product lines.
Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years experience in healthcare marketing or nurse liaison role
• Bachelor's degree in related area preferred
• Successful track record in sales and marketing, preferably in a healthcare environment
• Knowledge of local healthcare market preferred
