This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA or Austin, TX.

Responsibilities
• Collaborate with Blizzard teams to develop test plans, understand risk-based testing, and establish quality goals
• Design and implement test automation frameworks that facilitate both reusability and scalability.
• Identify, design, and implement technical solutions increasing test effectiveness and coverage, while reducing cost of test execution
• Analyze and understand design and source code to establish test hooks and API testing
• Design, implement, modify and utilize test harnesses, automated solutions and tests
• Create and deliver metrics on quality and risk analysis to business partners
• Analyze test data and results to identify patterns and influence software quality
• Share insights, solutions, and best practices within the team and across Blizzard.
• Provide technical mentorship and coaching to other SDETs on and off the team

Requirements
• 5+ years of experience as an SDET or Developer
• 4+ years coding in C# in a professional environment
• Experience with API and server testing
• Experience with CI / CD tools including Jenkins, GitHub actions
• Experience with version control systems, including Git
• Experience in the architecture, creation and maintenance of test automation frameworks and tools
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Pluses
• Experience with application lifecycle and test case management software development planning tools
• Experience with C++
• Experience testing on multiple platforms including Windows, Mac, console, and mobile
• Experience with database platforms and concepts (SQL, NoSQL, ACID, CAP)
• Experience with open-box and automation testing in the games industry
• Commitment to quality and sustainable software development
