The Team You’ll Work With

You will be joining the Business Development Team that manages Carta’s top partnerships on the Corporations team, which include law firms, service providers, accelerators, and VCs. Our Business Development Team is a key part of the broader Corporations business unit at Carta.

As Business Development Manager, Accelerators & VC, you will represent Carta in-market and oversee the company’s efforts to grow its network, deepen existing relationships, and develop additional business opportunities with Carta’s key accelerator and VC partners. The Business Development Team works cross-functionally to drive ecosystem partnerships to accelerate our growing business.

Ideal candidates will be energized by building and managing impactful external relationships, driving cross-functional collaboration, digging into data, devising strategy, finding scalable and repeatable best practices, and creating more owners across a dynamic industry.

The Problems You’ll Solve
• Manage and develop partner-level relationships with top venture capital firms, startup accelerator programs, and other external partners in the startup ecosystem
• Represent Carta with VC & Accelerator partners, and be an active voice for Carta’s product suite in the startup ecosystem
• Develop strategies to drive adoption of Carta’s products within investment portfolios of partners
• Perform outreach and qualify potential new business within partner portfolios
• Identify opportunities for engagements and events for founders, and execute in collaboration with partners and internal teams
• Execute partner marketing initiatives and the business development plan while working with key internal stakeholders (e.g. sales, marketing, implementations, etc.).
• Analyze startup portfolio data and key metrics and provide insights to internal and external stakeholders
• Prospect, onboard and educate new VC & Accelerator partners

The Impact You’ll Have

You will expand Carta’s distribution and market share by helping us deepen working relationships with key partners—and developing relationships with new ones. You will represent Carta as a valuable contributor to rapidly growing tech & venture ecosystems across the US.

About You

You enjoy building lasting, productive relationships. You are curious, and you’re driven to key in on relationships and strategies that benefit all sides. You dig in to find ways to work with others. You are data-informed. You are empathetic with respect to the needs of our ecosystem partners. You have a strong moral compass. You are motivated by making a material impact on our business. You are energized by sharing your learnings with others. You roll up your sleeves to partner with colleagues from across the company to explore what’s possible and drive results.

Qualifications
• Significant knowledge of the tech & venture ecosystem
• Relevant network of contacts within the community, specifically encompassing the top global accelerators and venture capital firms
• Strong communication, presentation, and networking skills, with experience leading cross-functional meetings with senior leadership and decision makers
• Deep understanding of SaaS business models
• 3-6 years of Business Development, Partnerships, Channel Sales, Account Management or other relevant GTM experience
• Based in San Francisco

Nice-to-Have
