Senior Sales / Business Development Leader

Key Responsibilities
• Sales Closure Leadership: Drive the closing phase of the sales cycle by guiding the team through negotiations, resolving any last-minute issues, and ensuring contracts are signed to secure new business.
• Developing Sales Strategies: Formulate and implement effective sales strategies and plans that align with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
• Revenue Growth: Drive revenue growth by identifying new business opportunities, expanding existing client relationships, and ensuring the sales team meets or exceeds sales targets.
• Sales Forecasting and Reporting: Oversee sales forecasting and reporting. Monitor sales metrics and KPIs to assess team performance and make data-driven decisions.
• Sales Process Optimization: Continuously evaluate and improve sales processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance sales performance.
• Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape to inform sales strategies and adjust tactics as needed.
• Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks to sales performance, such as market shifts or competitive threats.
• Strategic Partnerships: Develop and manage strategic partnerships and alliances that can drive business growth and open new sales channels.
• Team Leadership and Management: Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team. This involves performance management, ongoing training, and talent development.

Qualifications
• 10-12 years of sales success with a significant focus on business development in the management consulting or professional services sector.
• A bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent is highly desirable.
• A proven track record of successful client engagement and acquisition, ideally as a partner or senior consultant.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to connect with and influence top-level executives.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to build and manage effective sales teams.
• Comprehensive understanding of the challenges and opportunities within the Fortune 1000 and Fortune 200 space.
• Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Dynamics 365) and MS Office Suite.
