Position Type: High School Teaching
Reports To: Homebound Coordinator
Hourly Pay: $54/hour (direct teaching and up to 1 hour of planning time for each hour of teaching)
No other benefits are associated with this position
QUALIFICATIONS (Required Experience or Training):
• Valid Illinois Professional Educators Teaching License with H.S. endorsement in Science
• Previous HS Chemistry teaching experience
• Experience teaching Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Earth Science is preferred
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follow classroom teacher's lesson plans. Teach prescribed academic coursework
• Teach 1- 5 hours a week - Flexible scheduling (days, weekends, evenings) as agreed upon with student and parents
• Maintain accurate records
• Ability to teach via video conference and navigate needed online resources
• Other duties as assigned
OTHER INFORMATION:
• District will provide support related to lesson planning
