THE OPPORTUNITY:
Sephora Internships provide an inclusive and comprehensive experience that equips young professionals with the tools needed to align their passions with work. The 10-week internship program develops early career professionals by providing interns with hands-on learning, personal and professional networking opportunities, and the ability to work on projects that directly impact the business.
The Sephora internship program is also a prerequisite for consideration for LEAP, the cross-functional rotational program that provides on-the-job training in each of three Business Units-Supply Chain, Marketing, and Merchandising, over the course of nine months. LEAP prepares successfully performing trainees for a full-time, entry-level role in one of the three Business Units. Interns are invited to apply to LEAP at the beginning of the summer internship.
PROGRAM DETAILS:
An inclusive and engaging experience that develops technical and professional skills through weekly virtual workshops, networking opportunities, and career panels that provide exposure to Sephora’s career growth opportunities.
2025 PROGRAM DATES:
• June 2 - August 15, 2025
• Working hours: 36hrs/week. Monday – Friday, PST
• June 16 – 19: On-Site Week in San Francisco at headquarters office
• June 30 – July 4: Week off for vacation

YOUR ROLE AT SEPHORA...
Sephora Engineering division is looking for passionate and inventive intern who wants to work in Sephora’s digital eCommerce platform.
Imagine being part of a team that is at the handling one of the largest client traffic channel at Sephora. As an Intern, you have the opportunity to develop applications that impact millions of clients in both North America & Canada. Your focus is going to be with the Omni promotion and Omni payments team to design, develop and stabilize the Micro services.
You will have the opportunity to analyze the big picture and perform tactical decision making that supports the strategic direction of Sephora, IT and the Engineering team. They will exercise these responsibilities in compliance with Sephora policies and standards along with industry best practices.
WHAT YOU WILL ACCOMPLISH:
• Should be hands on in developing Java based API
• Contribute to the overall system design, architecture, security, scalability, reliability and performance of the sephora.com and the commerce APIs
• Demonstrate our Sephora values: Passion, Innovation, Expertise, Balance, Respect, Teamwork, and Initiative.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
• Knowledge of design patterns like, MVC, Strangler, etc.,
• Should have the ability to understand and refactor the program code
• Knowledge in Oracle / MS SQL / No-Sql databases
• Knowledge on application monitoring solutions (Splunk / Dynatrace)
• Ability to Write and Call a Restful API
• Having knowledge on developing microservices using Spring boot framework would be a value add.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills required
• Must be results orientated and self-motivated
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
• Graduating in 2025 or 2026 (undergraduate or graduate degree)
• Remote program – work schedule must align with Pacific Standard Time
• Must permanently reside and work in the U.S.
• Must be open to relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area upon graduation for consideration for full-time hybrid positions *
• Available for the 1-week On-Site office experience in San Francisco, CA
