We're seeking a future team member in the role of Digital Assets Data and Intelligence Engineer to join our Information Security, Cyber Management team. This role is located in the New York Metro area - Hybrid.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
• Empowering data lead decision making a the most senior level by designing and managing the security data infrastructure which will be analyzed by incident responders, developers, and analysts, providing insights that will drive decision making and responses to Digital Asset events.
• Work cross functionally to develop data analytics, use cases, and models to derive intelligence across the Digital Asset functions and product offerings
• Build data products and tools that allow Digital Asset Security to get a clear understanding of the information and make educated decisions on how to effectively increase security across processes, technology, and people.
• Be the champion and technical lead for driving process efficiency through automation.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree preferred.
• 10-12 years of experience in information security or related technology experience required. Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
• Transaction intelligence and blockchain surveillance
• Incident response and attack prevention in digital assets
• Threat Modeling, Pen testing and Red/Blue/Hunt team experience
• SIEM and Threat Detection experience (Splunk preferred)
• Splunk search processing language, statistical, and evaluation functions
• Blockchain and cryptocurrency forensics
• Enterprise Cloud security, secure deployment pipelines, and infrastructure as code security
• Systems Security (security architecture, application security, database security, network security, mobile security, cloud security, data center security, defensive development, SSDLC (secure software development life cycle), static code analysis, dynamic code analysis, system analysis)
• Systems Resilience - research and methods
• Cyber engineering, attack and malware analysis, security intelligence and research
• Working knowledge of SQL and database structures
• Skilled in Tableau Creator, Server and Prep or similar
• Skilled in data modeling and data tooling such as DataBricks or similar
• Ability to build and develop data science pipelines

BNY Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $111,000 and $218,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNYM total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
